INCOGNITO MUSIC VIDEOS

blinkinLAB have been asked to produce a couple of music promos for Incognito - one of the creators of 90's Acid Jazz movement.

For the first video, Bluey from Incognito wanted to have the vibe of old Blue Note record covers but also have something a bit more contemporary.

We brought in our friend, DoP Peter Emery, who we worked with on the Sub Focus 'Could It Be Real' promo back in 2009 to work with us. Pete's great lighting skills and camera work were a great asset to the shoot as was his brand new Canon C300 camera!

We have completed work on the first video 'Goodbye to Yesterday' watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Naboo_qiqpQ

Currently we are finishing post production on the second video which references the great album sleave design from Mitchy Bwoy and features a space suit wearing singer floating in intergalactic nebulae.

Booka Shade Movements 10 Tour Visuals

blinkinLAB created and directed the entire visual content for the hour long Movements 10 show from Booka Shade. In 2006 Booka Shade released an album . . . called Movements featuring some of their most loved tracks. In 2016 as part of the 10 year anniversary for the album they re-visited the songs for a new live tour. blinkinLAB created visuals for all 10 tracks in the show. Some of the visuals referenced the original album artwork's photographic collage style, while others served to work in parallel with the lighting rig designed by Dave Cohen from Mirrad, complementing not only colour, but form and movements as well.
